Searching for Flannel Cloth Manufacturers? First Decide What You're Actually Buying
“Flannel cloth manufacturers” returns two different kinds of company, and mixing them up wastes weeks. Fabric mills sell flannel cloth by the roll — typically 500 kg minimum per colour — to buyers who run their own cutting and sewing. Finished-product factories sell the things flannel cloth becomes: pajamas, shirts, loungewear, blankets, packed and labelled under your brand.
Renrui is the second kind — with one structural difference from most of it. The typical cut-and-sew workshop buys flannel from a mill, marks it up, and inherits whatever quality and lead time that mill delivers. We weave, brush and dye our flannel cloth in our own facility and feed it straight into our own sewing lines. When buyers compare quotes, that vertical structure is usually worth 8–15% on unit price — the intermediary fabric margin that simply isn’t there — and it means shrinkage, napping quality and dye lots are controlled by the same people who sew your order.
To be equally clear about what we don’t do: we do not sell cloth by the roll. If you operate your own sewing floor and only need fabric, a dedicated mill is the right call. If your end goal is a finished flannel product, read on.

Do you sell flannel fabric or cloth by the roll?
No — and we’d rather say so here than three emails in. Our cloth production supplies our own product lines only. The buyers we fit are brands, retailers and importers who want finished flannel products without managing a fabric supplier and a sewing contractor separately.
What’s the practical difference for my quote?
When a cut-and-sew workshop quotes you a flannel pajama set, roughly 30–40% of that price is fabric they bought from someone else. When we quote the same set, the fabric layer is our own cost, not a purchase — which is why our pricing holds up at the same quality grade, and why a fabric problem can’t become “the mill’s fault.”
Woven flannel or flannel fleece?
Both exist under the name “flannel.” Woven brushed cotton is the classic cloth for shirts, pajamas and premium bedding; knitted flannel fleece (polyester) is the high-loft, lower-cost construction common in throws. We produce and sew both — and confirming which one your product needs is the first thing we do with any enquiry, because samples of the wrong one cost you two weeks.

This is our most-quoted flannel line, so here is the advice we give most often: the spec decision that matters is cloth weight. 140–160 GSM brushed cotton reads as “spring/autumn” sleepwear; 170–200 GSM is the true winter weight that justifies a higher retail price. Buyers who pick the lighter cloth to save $0.60 a set routinely get reviews calling the product “thinner than expected” — we’ll show you both weights side by side in the sample set before you decide. On Recycled Flannel: the Honest Version
rPET flannel fleece does not biodegrade — no polyester does. Its real environmental case is upstream: GRS-certified recycled polyester takes roughly 45% less energy to produce than virgin polyester. If your brand needs a claim that survives scrutiny, that production-side story — backed by the GRS transaction certificates we supply per shipment — is the one to make. For a natural-fibre story, the answer is our cotton flannel lines.

Both, in one facility — and that’s the point. We weave, brush and dye our own flannel cloth, then cut and sew it into pajamas, shirts, loungewear and blankets under your brand. The cloth never leaves the building between loom and sewing line, which is why we can put fabric specs and finished-product quality on one certificate trail and one quote.
No. Our cloth production supplies our own product lines only. If you run your own sewing operation and need rolls, a dedicated fabric mill is the right partner — we’d rather tell you that now than waste your sampling budget. If your end goal is a finished flannel product, one integrated factory is usually cheaper than fabric-plus-contract-sewing once you count the extra margin layer and freight leg.
