Our OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 certificate covers flannel fabric (cotton, polyester, blended), plush and faux fur fabric (all pile heights), super soft fleece fabric (coral, polar, anti-pilling), and finished blanket products manufactured from these fabric types.
The certificate is tested, issued and registered by an accredited independent OEKO-TEX® institute. It is publicly verifiable through the OEKO-TEX® certificate database — no buyer needs to take our word for it.
What Is OEKO-TEX® Standard 100?
OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 is an independent textile certification system administered by the OEKO-TEX® Association — a collective of 18 independent textile research and testing institutes across Europe and Japan. It is one of the world’s best-known labels for textiles tested for harmful substances, covering over 100,000 certified products from more than 11,000 manufacturers and brands globally.
The key principle: every single component of a certified product is tested — not just the outer fabric. Pile fibres, backing cloth, threads, dyes, finishing agents, accessories and labels must all pass the full substance list. A product cannot carry the Standard 100 label if any single component fails.

How often is the OEKO-TEX® certificate renewed?
OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 certificates are valid for one year and must be renewed annually through repeat independent laboratory testing. This ensures the certified status reflects current production — not a one-time historical test.
Does OEKO-TEX® certification guarantee eco-friendly production?
OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 is a product safety standard — it verifies the finished fabric is free from harmful substances. It does not certify manufacturing sustainability or social conditions. For those aspects, look for OEKO-TEX® MADE IN GREEN or GRS certification — both of which Renrui pursues across applicable product lines.
What are the OEKO-TEX® product classes?
Standard 100 is divided into four product classes based on end-use contact level. Class I (strictest) applies to baby products; Class II to products with direct skin contact; Class III to products with no direct skin contact; Class IV to decorative items. Renrui’s fabrics are certified at Class II (direct skin contact) minimum.
What is the difference between OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 and OEKO-TEX® MADE IN GREEN?
Standard 100 tests what is actually in the fabric — the harmful substances that could transfer to skin. MADE IN GREEN goes further and audits how and where the fabric was produced: factory conditions, environmental impact, labour standards. If your buyers are asking for product safety documentation, Standard 100 is usually the requirement they need. If they are asking for supply chain transparency and social compliance, MADE IN GREEN is the higher tier. In practice, the vast majority of B2B procurement specifications start with Standard 100 — it is the floor, not the ceiling.
